Good thing I like celery
Jen and I started Weight Watchers today.  Looks like Dr. Lin at school was right - I should be losing about 50-75 lbs.  Not all in one week, though.  This'll be a process.

Don't be surprised if you see a bunch of dieting-is-hell posts in the near future....

i recommend getting a dog.
I lost soooo much weight by just walking the dog around the block twice a day!
It works. I swear! Oh and don't eat fast food either!

So get a dog and no fast food! Nay's diet! It works! Try it!

Our cats would eat the dog.

Good thought, though! =)

I'd like to try Weight Watchers - can't afford the joining fee, and feel bad to go to the meeting once and not continue.

Good luck with it. I think you'll be fine.

(you like celery? ew.)

Especially with Peanut Butter! That's still zero points, right?

Good for you!!

From one food lover to another...
Good luck.

We'll need a combination of luck and stubbornness.

Thankfully, I've got at least one of those in excess...

Good Luck!
As a WW lifetime member, I can tell you that the program works. From a clinical perspective it is a little too light on protein. If you follow the plan but maintain a 40-30-30 ratio of calories from carbs-prot-fat respectively you'll get the best results. I can help you with tools for that so you don't have to make difficult food choices and can make it brainless.

It's a shame you use PocketPC because they have a Palm app for tracking your points. It sucks though, so stick with paper tracking.

BTW, my mother in law is a WW lecturer in NJ. She's the one who introduced me to Lisa, so I actually got a wife out of the deal. Whoo knows, you two might end up with a kid.

It's not that bad, though. You actually get to eat a lot (especially if you choose to use your weekly points). You'll be suprised how minor intake changes (mainly portion control) and choosing more nutrient rich foods will make a difference in your energy level, not to mention shedding the pounds.

Bon Appetit!

Brainless = good!
Whatever help / tools you can offer would be most appreciated by both of us.

And thanks for answering the Palm/PocketPC question. Nobody at the WW meeting knew if the software would work for me or not...
