Go to fuzzybearca's journal for the complete story in a readable format.  I'm not quite awake yet, so I'll summarize as best I can, but don't expect it to make any sense.

Legislation has been passed in CA to allow same-sex marriages.
Arnold has said he'll veto it when it gets to him.
There is (theoretically) time to change his mind.

From cooner's journal (quoted from fuzzybearca's journal):

If you have a moment, please call the Governator's office at 1-916-445-2841.  It's a simple menu-driven system, just tell it you want to express your opinion on legislation, then choose AB 849 (which they call the "gender neutral marriage act"), the choose whether you support (yay!) or oppose (boo!) the legislation.
It's an automated system that allows entries 24 hours.  Menu options:  2 (voice your opinion), 1 (assembly bill 849), 1 (support)

Personally, I doubt it'll make a difference.  But that didn't stop me from making the half-minute call.

Hey, thanks for the support and spreading the news around. Like you I'm not sure if it will make a difference but you've got to have some hope.
