Worth mentioning
I don't think I've said this here, and you guys may not yet know.

My quartet broke up a few weeks ago.

Not a bitter thing, nor personalities. Mostly a conflict of schedules, combined with a conflict of the direction we wanted to go.

Details can be found here, in case you care.

Sorry to hear that. I know that was something you really enjoyed. Although, from what I recall, that was one of the things you knew was likely to go when you started the whole school thing...

Thanks
Yeah, I did enjoy it, and yeah, I suspected this would be at least a hiatus for us. (even though it turned out to be more permanent than that) But for now, it's the right decision.

that sucks. I'm sorry. Are you going to try to find a new one?

New q'tet
Thanks. Losing the quartet was very sad for a number of reasons and not so bad for others, but one thing I can't complain about is the timing. The quartet broke up right when I was heading into school, and that allows me to get back in the groove of classes. Let's face it, full time work (until this past Friday), full time school, chorus AND quartet is a lot to have on one plate. I don't expect to be quartetless very long (it does provide a great outlet and sanity keeper), but for right now it's the right decision.

That said, keep in mind that "not for very long" could easily mean that I'm back in a quartet in time for the next contest cycle, which has the first contest in February (if you count the novice contest), so it's theoretically possible that I'll be in another quartet quite to prepare for that. But don't hold your breath... =/
