Ok, so what's been going on with me lately?

Not much.

I've been getting adjusted to living in Sherman Oaks with my grandmother, working for my second cousin, and still commuting to Whittier and Anaheim several times a week for my group's various activities (and more personal ones).

Why haven't you seen me online recently? Well, that's another story. See, when it was decided that I would be moving here, my father said right away that we'd need DSL at the house. It was hooked up by the time I moved in. Shortly after, my brother as a helluva guy and installed the hardware I'd picked up to set up a network between my grandmother's computer and mine, so that we could both take advantage of the DSL line. That's all great stuff - but the only way I could hook up to it was by stringing a network cable between my room and the computer room, which made it in the path of anybody walking by, and a big tripping hazard. So I wasn't on all that much - and mostly when I figured no one would be walking that path, which meant when everybody was asleep.

It was decided that if we drilled a couple holes in specific walls, the wire could be run from my bedroom, under the stairs, through the garage, and into the computer room. Great plan! Last week (finally), I was in the same place at the same time as my uncle Rick, and I asked if he'd be able to drill those holes for me. He said sure. Last night, I saw a note that said he'd finished - and today, through several hours of struggling to get the wire through the tight fit that was the holes (make 'em as small as possible, of course - big holes in the wall are ugly), I'm hooked up!

So now I can be online all the damn time and not have to worry! Yippee!!!
