They weren't even trying.  
So you go to The Matrix Web Site and you see that they have the Superbowl trailer available for viewing. You then go to the highest resolution one they have available and open it. It opens into a new window that has no ability to save. You right click in that page and say "create shortcut", and a shortcut to that page appears on your desktop. Double click in it, and it opens in a new window with a bunch more options. Included in those options is View Source.

View the source code, and right there in plain text is the URL for the .mov file for the trailer, a-ready for the download. 640x480 - that's TV quality, folks. 23.8MB.

The final theatrical trailer's available now - it's about 98MB. And apparently my system's too slow to watch it smoothly.

At half size.

Despite 256MB RAM and 1GHz processor.

Might be worth downloading a smaller one...
