I got ssssssssssssteam heat
So most of you have heard me referred to as a human furnace - I tend to generate heat quite a bit. Well, after doing about 20 minutes of choreo with the front row outside our rehearsal location, we got to see how much - it seems that I was billowing steam from my head and upper body. Which made for an interesting sight for everybody else, but made it a little difficult for me to see anything. Still, kinda neat... I guess...

Hey, look! It's Ken!
Ken Larsen, the guy who more than anyone is responsible for bringing me into the Masters of Harmony and making me feel welcome, and who has since left the chorus to go on to bigger and better things (and apparently is in classes to get his teaching credential - God help us all! =) ), was at rehearsal tonight! Not much interesting to say about that - but I missed him, and thought it was worth pointing out. He says he should be done with the night classes in about a year and may be able to rejoin the chorus then, but we'll have to wait and see.

Breathe in, breathe out. Repeat as necessary.
After rehearsal tonight, the front row captain pulled aside all the current and potential front row guys and declared who will be in the front row from this Sunday (immediately after a performance Saturday night) through the Divisional contest in May, and likely beyond. It's amazing how much this has come to mean to me, but I was completely hanging on every name as he was going down the list from the far right - and crushed when he got to the guy who currently stands on my left.

As it turns out, I was being dumb and just forgot that we'd already changed order for after Saturday's performance - my name was called next. I'm just moving one spot to the left. Still, it's neat how much time can slow down in a moment like that.

So yeah. I'm still in Front Row. May 15 will mark my first competition up front - and through a strange set of circumstances, the comp is being held at Ventura High, right in my old stomping grounds. Lookin' forward to it.....
