OK, so I'm a complete local Los Angeles Theatre geek. I didn't really realize to what degree until tonight, when I went to the theatre with Jen and Mom to see To Kill a Mockingbird at the West Coast Ensemble, and spent a good 45 minutes pre-show and 15 minutes post-show chatting with Richard Israel. We spoke of many things, including my ventures with the Masters of Harmony, Jen's ventures with The Pampered Chef, and Mom's ventures with Channelaire. The night ended with Richard giving me his e-address to get him the information on MOH's Christmas Show, since Jen didn't have any flyers in her car (December 13 at CSU Los Angeles, for those that might care).

Now, Richard Israel isn't a huge name. He's done a lot of Musical Theatre Guild stuff, several things at WCE, and some others I've seen. He's a good musical theatre actor, and I have a lot of respect for him. So getting his e-mail address made me majorly squid out and get all hyper and bouncy on the drive home.

That's how I knew I was a complete nerd about these things. See, it's not like I got Bernadette Peters' e-address, or even Misty Cotton. Richard's one of those guys that most people will see once or twice and be impressed, but probably not remember the name of. But to me, it was like I got a hold of the holy grail.

So anyway, I'm a geek. Nerd. Scary stalker fan.
