How one class can change your life.....
.....at least for the duration of the classes.

Here's a summary of some of the things I had to change to be able to take this seven week class, and how:

WORK. Change schedule from 9 - 5:30 to 7 - 3:30. Yuck.

MOH: Missing the weekly Wednesday rehearsals. Which means I won't know any of the music we're singing in our Christmas show on November 30, so I'll have to be in the audience for that one, not on the stage.

BARBERSHOP: I have to cancel my trip to the Sweet Adelines International Convention and Contest, which I've been trying to find a way to get to for the past, oh, 20 years or so. Mom's chorus is competing in it for the first time in 7 years or so, so this was a perfect opportunity. Plus, I've never been to Nashville. Oh, well....I wonder where it'll be next year....or the year after, when Channelaire and Harborlites (Jen's chorus, which is going to International without her this year) will both be eligable again, and therefore going again.

AOKP: Missing the next seven or so Court meetings. During Page Turning, when we meet and train potential new members. It's the most important time for Regents to be available - and I am one. Scheduled sunday afternoon games are also a part of this timespan, and if I'm gonna have any rest (or chance of keeping my girlfriend, for that matter), I'm gonna have to skip those. Cancelling on my friend Rich, who's putting on a short story in a few weeks that I won't be able to be a part of. I'm lucky, though, that Hell Night falls on an off-night, so I'll be able to be there for that, at least.

Hmm....it wouldn't be fair to include the annual VENICE CRUISE on this list, even though the only reason I wasn't able to commit to it this year is because I was going to Nashville, and it's already been established that I'm not going to that anymore. So I guess I can only list it as....I'm no longer doing the one thing that was barring me from it, but now the class is too, so I'm still not going.

VIDEO ENTERTAINMENT: I have about five one-hour shows I like to watch per week, this season's movie list looks like I'm really going to enjoy most of it, I've got Kingdom Hearts for PS2 and stuff for the XBox, and DVDs galore, including season 1 of 24 which I haven't seen. Saturday late afternoon and most of Sunday are my only days available, and I'm likely to be too tired to move.

GIRLFRIEND: I usually stay in Anaheim 5 nights out of the week. This will reduce me down to Saturday night through most of Sunday, assuming I have the energy to drive down there. (I could probably do Sunday as well, but getting up in time for work the next day thru rush hour traffic is impossible.)

SLEEP, READING, INTERNET: Work from 7 - 3:30. Drive from Sherman Oaks to Oxnard. Class from 4:30 - 10. Drive back to Sherman Oaks. Crash. Repeat.

That's all I can think of right now. Maybe I'll be coherent enough later to come up with some rewards of taking the class... Not too likely, though.....

*hug* to the busy one...
I love the fact that you are so informative to your readers... making links to every possible question one might have about the "big name" things in your life that you do. The only thing you could have linked was an add for games for the XBOX, but who needs to further gaming obessions. ;-) Hope you find some relaxation in your soon to be repetitive life. Maybe you and your girl can work out a pampering deal for Sat and Sun.;-)
Good to see you for the brief moments.

No Munny
"Kingdom Hearts" is sucking away my brain. We stopped by the actual Magic Kingdom yesterday to check out the latest Jack Skellington stuff and I found myself wondering which roofs I could jump to to find hidden chests.

Re: No Munny
OK, that's FAR too funny!

And understandable.......and contagious. I'm likely to stop by this weekend, and now I'll be able to think of nothing else but that....
