LASIK followup
Right eye: 20/20
Left eye: 20/15
Both eyes: Halos around bright lights, especially when my eyes are dilated (at night - like with headlights or alarm clocks). Apparently this is a normal reaction to the surgery, and will likely go away within about six weeks. I certainly hope so...

(Oh, and the reason I didn't test better in my eyesight was the halos blurred the letters in the eye chart. =) )

My next followup appointment is in late February.

For some people the halos never go away entirely, which especially depends on how bad your sight was before the surgery, but even then I think you learn to adjust. I'm surprised you aren't getting more checkups between now and then, that's a big gap.

Yeah, I know
It was all over the literature and list of side effects. My eyesight wasn't horribly bad before, but I did have astigmatism. This is improved over what it was - except that I no longer use corrective lenses to fix the problem.

The post-op checkups are at 1 day after the surgery, 1 week, then a jump to 3-6 months, and 1 year. At least with this guy. He did tell me that if I have any problems or concerns I can make an appointment between now and then, but he doesn't anticipate it being necessary.

...Possible side effects. Many many forms for me to sign saying that I knew this might happen.

But then, so might permanent blindness. =/
