Advantages:
Rain
Swimming, if you're careful and don't open your eyes underwater
peripheral vision


Disadvantages:
trips to the dentist when things go flying - it's nice to have the spit guard
cobwebs

sudden peripheral vision was the thing that was hardest to get used to.

My biggest plus for contacts was sunglasses.

downfall? That damn piece of dust that lodges behind, making my nose run and my eyes red while I make the world stop for me while I make the pain stop.
