Barqing up the wrong tree
Want to hear about a strange phenomenon? (Doo doooooooo, doodoodoo)

Check this out. The other day, I tried something that the concept made me cringe, but it was free, so what harm could it do?

IBC Diet Root Beer.

Yeah, yet another product that shouldn't exist. But it does. And as you know, all diet sodas (7-up and Dr. Pepper being the exceptions) are just plain gross. But I figured, IBC is one of the best root beers out there, so a sorry excuse for an IBC has still gotta be pretty darn good, right? At the very least, it really shouldn't be gross...

Strangely, that last part turns out to be true.

For you see, Diet IBC Root Beer tastes exactly like Barq's non-diet root beer. It's the strangest thing. But now, apparently people who like Barq's but also want diet soda can have the best of both worlds....

Exceptions to the rule...
But regular Dr. Pepper tastes gross, and Diet Dr. Pepper tastes more like regular Dr. Pepper...

I also disagree on Diet 7up not being gross, but then, I recently had regular 7up after years of drinking Sprite and Sierra Mist, and it tasted quite awful to me...

Diet Sierra Mist is actually quite tasty, and I discovered that diet A&W isn't bad either, though it tends to be on the expensive side of the diets.

Diet Mt. Dew is a favorite during finals...none of the sugar, ALLLLLLLLL the caffiene!
