Well, that can't be good.  
I just had a shard of tooth fall out.

Not a full tooth, mind you. Just a shard of one. A shard that was in between two teeth for a while, loose and pissing me off and causing my gums to bleed, and now is gone.

And now the two teeth that are slightly farther apart are sharp. And my tongue seems to have a kind of rubbernecker's syndrome -- it can't avoid feeling this new and different area. Which is sharp.

Ow, I say.

Then I say "Hi, Dr. Dentist? Can I have an appointment this afternoon?"

Now I just have to try to keep my tongue from cutting itself for the next hour and a quarter....

Getting that fixed shouldn't be that big of a deal. Probably going to get a cap or a crown or some other head covering for the tooth.

Why that happened in the first place, though, should most likely be investigated...
