Weird Al and Monster House
Al has a new CD coming out next month.  It's called "Straight Outta Lynwood," and I think I'm looking forward to it.  He managed to make the disc worth buying, rather than downloading, by packing a bunch of extra DVD material on the disc -- pretty smart.  Anyway, his MySpace premiered the first single, "Don't Download This Song" last night (and yes, he made it available for download) and the video premiered on Yahoo tonight.  I like the song, and the video is clearly made by Bill Plympton who I like very much, and I do kinda enjoy the video...but I'm not sure the video matches the song.  Maybe that's what they were going for.  Not sure.

Tonight, Jen and I saw Monster House in 3D at the Irvine Spectrum.  Predictable, but very fun and enjoyable.  The 3D enhanced without distracting, which was nice.  A worthy kid's movie with a number of laughs.  What excited us most about the experience, though, was the preview for Nightmare Before Christmas 3D.  We knew it was coming, and we both independently had a similar "eh" reaction.  We've seen the film in theatres and at home a number of times, and didn't feel a huge drive to see it again.

That's changed.

It's SO PRETTY in 3D.  MUST SEE.  Droooooooool........

That's about it for now.  I have a speech to make in Toastmasters tomorrow (have I mentioned that yet?), and have no idea what it'll be about.  Just thought I'd share....
