Listened to Ender's Game on audiobook on the drive to SF. Into Speaker now.
After the book, there's a 20 minute or so retrospective by Orson Scott Card about the book (celebrating its 20th anniversary or something), where he points out the one and only practical and real distinction between science fiction and fantasy. And thinking about how people (read: movie- and bookstores) put stuff in categories, and how people who don't care about the "real" classifications of things seem to associate the two, I realize how true it is. It makes me laugh, therefore I post:
Science Fiction has more rivets.
Fantasy has more trees.
